DASS and OB are subordinating conjunctions. DASS means THAT in English and OB means IF. Simple, yes? If it is so simple, why do so many of my students make mistakes when they use them? I do not know, but I hope that my explanations in this podcast will help them to make those mistakes less frequently.

Thanks for making these available to the rest of us. It's ~35 years since my high school German, and ~25 years since I lived in Goettingen. Now I find myself interacting with business colleagues in Frankfurt, and I appreciate the opportunity to refresh my rusty German grammar as I drive to work.

Thanks so much for these podcasts! I am at work on a novel set in the early 16th century in Germany and England, and my German really needs some improvement. Your explanations are so clear! After a lot of checking around the web, I'd say your podcasts are the best German "classes" out there. --Elizabeth
